Dragon Well Green Tea

Dragon well tea(龍井綠茶) is commonly known as Lung Chung or Long-Gun in Chinese. Its first record was around 733-804 A.D by Lu Yu who write a famous piece "The Classic of Tea". It is a green tea most famously known in China and while it can be grown and found all over China, the origin of Dragon well green tea is located in the mountainous areas surrounding the West Lake of Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. One of the most significant stories associated with this green tea is that it was presented to President Richard Nixon during his trip to China.

Up to today, the tea plant in West Lake of Hangzhou, still produces superb quality green tea strictly following traditional methods. As a result, the final tea leaves have a flat and smooth appearance.

Taste: It has a fresh, snap-pea and slightly chestnut fragrance. It has a toasty smooth flavor with delicate nutty notes. It's never astringent or bitter-tasting when brewed correctly.

Very nice tea. Reasonably priced for a good quality product

Very nice tea. Reasonably priced for a good quality product. The company that supplied this provided me with an enthusiastic email offering product support on how to brew the tea correctly and achieve the best experience. Will definitely buy from Valley of Tea again.

My favorite tea

My favorite tea. Tasted it in Beijing at the Made in China restaurant in the Grand Hyatt. The waiter wrote down the name of the tea and I found it while searching the internet for this! It’s exactly as I remembered it and ordered another for my daughter
