A Cast Bronze Flower Vase - 'Inori' (「祈り」)

Showa Era (1926-1989) or Heisei Era (1989-2019)

About the work

An exceptional bronze vase, 'Inori' (Prayer), by the celebrated metalwork artist Kasai Taizo. The vase features a commanding rectangular form with a rich, dark patina. Its powerful, architectural silhouette is dramatically interrupted by recessed, geometric cut-outs with sharp facets, creating a striking interplay of light and shadow that embodies a sense of modernist refinement.

It comes with its original wooden tomobako (signed storage box), inscribed with the title and artist's signature.
