Gorō Tamura is a distinguished Japanese potter renowned for his work at the Tsukikeiji Kiln in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Initially a teacher, Tamura transitioned to pottery and established himself as a master of traditional firing techniques, including the use of a semi-underground climbing kiln. His works are celebrated for their natural glazes, nuanced textures, and expressive forms, showcasing his profound understanding of materials and firing processes.
