About the Artist:
Born in Fukuoka in 1944, Ushio Takahashi studied oil painting at Musashino University of the Arts before turning to copperplate printmaking. Known for his dreamlike imagery, he has exhibited widely, including with the Shun’yo-kai since 1973, the Dresden University of Fine Arts Exchange Exhibition, and in a commemorative publication for the Nobel Foundation in Sweden.
