A refined chawan (tea bowl) crafted by Miraku Kamei XIV, a celebrated master potter from Fukuoka Prefecture. This tea bowl exemplifies the essence of Takatori ware (高取焼), featuring a graceful glaze with earthy textures and hues that evoke a sense of warmth and traditional beauty.

The chawan comes in its original tomobako (wooden storage box), signed by the artist, and a leaflet about the artist.

Miraku Kamei XIV (十四代 亀井味楽) was a renowned Japanese potter known for his exceptional craftsmanship and contributions to the world of ceramics. Born in 1931 in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, he was the 14th generation in the Kamei family lineage of potters, continuing a rich tradition of ceramic artistry. He was designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Fukuoka City in 1977 and received the prestigious Medal with Yellow Ribbon for his contributions to Japanese pottery.
