maizumi Imaemon (今泉今右衛門)
Imaizumi Imaemon is a distinguished hereditary title held by ceramic masters in Saga Prefecture since the Edo period. The family serves as the custodian of Nabeshima ware traditions, specifically the refined polychrome porcelain known as "Iro-Nabeshima."
Renowned for its dignity and elegance, the Imaemon kiln places special emphasis on its Aka-e (red enamel) techniques. The complex mixing and application methods for this distinctive red glaze are considered a secret family treasure, passed down strictly to a single heir in each generation.
