Tieguanyin Tea (鐵觀音) also commonly known as iron goddess is an oolong tea from Taiwan. The name Tieguanyin not only represents the type of oolong tea its also the name of the tea cultivator. While this tea can be made from other tea cultivators, it is important to not that all authentic Tiguanyin comes from Anxi county in Fujian province. The flavour profile of this tea can range quite a bit as this tea can range in all oxidization and roasting process which leaves it with a different flavour each time. However, what is universally common amount this tea are the shape of the tea leaves which are small, free from branches and tightly rolled.
Taste: Full, balanced, slightly floral flavor with a sweet, long-lasting finish and velvety texture. Often has hints of stone fruit, caramel, or chestnut.
